bloop
/blo͞op/

a mistake.
The blooop series came to be from the pressure I felt to make "serious work." These forms emerge from my time in the studio as I combine wheel thrown parts. They are playful, loud and unapologetic. Leading my work into a totally different direction; using and exploring materials I wouldn’t have otherwise. After being fired in the kiln, this small sculpture is covered in rubber, creating the "oh please touch me" surface. Signed on the bottom. This Blooop contains light reflecting pigment, creating a chamelion look.
